Online Admission Process

• Open the Ranchi University website. The link: Ranchi University
• The online application will be done through the chancellor portal.
• Candidates will have to create their profile with the help of basic contact details. 
• Subject-wise admissions are open at Ranchi University; candidates can select the university, college, courses, etc. of their choice. 
• Further login with the help of a username and password generated.
• Apply for the desired course and fill out the application form with all the correct details. 
• Upload all the supporting documents. 
• Complete the payment process and finally submit the application form. 

Offline Admission Process

• Open the Ranchi University website.
• Go through all the sections and tap on the “Downloads” options. 
• Further, click on the “application form” option.
• Download the form for UG or PG programmes. 
• Now, the candidate has to fill out the form carefully with all the mandatory details.
• Candidates have to send the form attaching all the important documents to the university address. 
• Pay the application form fee of Rs 500/- through the demand draft.

Entrance Exam 

• The admissions at Ranchi University are mainly based on entrance tests, national-level test scores, and merit lists.

Eligibility Criteria for the PhD Programme 

• For an M.Phil. programme, candidates must have passed postgraduate studies in the relevant field with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks. 
• For a PhD programme, candidates must have either completed a diploma or an M.Phil. programme of two years duration.  Interested candidates must be fluent in English. 

Selection Criteria for PhD Programme
