Online Application

Required documents

• 10+2 mark sheet from a reputable board.
• Birth certificate
• Identity proof 
• UG degree from a reputable university for application in PG degree.

Entrance Exam

• Once your verification is done for the university entrance exam, your slot will be booked and you will get the admit card.
• Allahabad University selects the candidates based on the entrance exam which is different for UG & PG degrees. 
• AU PGAT  for PG degree and CUET for UG degree.

Application Fee

• The application charge for the AU PGAT exam is INR 600/- and INR 300/- according to the subjects.

Allahabad University UG Admission 2026

Admission to the undergraduate courses at Allahabad University is through CUET. For BTech courses, the scores of JEE exams are accepted. 

Eligibility criteria for the CUET and JEE exams required candidates to clear 10+2 in the relevant stream with minimum qualifying marks. The average fees for undergraduate courses range between Rs 1,074/- to Rs 25,000/-.

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

Allahabad University PG Admission 2026

Allahabad University provides various PG courses including MCom, MSc, MBA, M.tech, MCA, and many more. To apply for any PG course in Allahabad University you need to clear the entrance test before admission.

Only students with an undergraduate degree from a reputable university with acceptable grades can apply for PG programs. The average admission fee for PG courses at Allahabad University is around 1.1 lakh. 

The fee for the AU PGAT application is INR 800/-. For the general and OBC categories and INR 400/- for the SC and ST categories.

Allahabad University PhD Admission 2026

Allahabad University also provides PhD courses in law, mathematics, zoology, education, political science, and geography. PhD is a three-year full-time program, and admissions for PhD programs are based on AU CRET( Allahabad University common research entrance test).

PhD degree qualifies you to teach at the university level. The application fee for PhD courses is INR 1600/- for the General/OBC category and INR 800/- for the SC/ST category.

Eligibility criteria

• The candidates who have qualified UGC-NET, JRF, and SLET are exempted from giving AU CRET based on the result.
• Candidates who have an undergraduate and postgraduate degree with acceptable marks from a known university can apply for a PhD.
