IPU Admission Process 2024

Indraprastha University has extended its application dates to enrol in UG and PG programs for 2024-25. The last date of application for all the courses based on the national level exams is 25 May 2024. All aspiring candidates wanting to take admission to IPU are requested to visit their official website and apply online. 

Registration Form

All the candidates will have to visit the official website for online Registration and provide all the correct details. 

Entrance Exam

The university conducts its common entrance test (IPU CET) for some of the programs and the selection process takes place based on a merit list. 

Qualification

The eligibility criteria differ from one program to another. For UG programs you have to qualify your 12th with a minimum of 50% marks and for PG programs a candidate must have a bachelor’s degree. 

Admit card

Once you are done filling out the application form the dates for the common entrance test will be out soon and you will receive your admit card a few days before the test. Carry the admit card with you on the day of the test. 

Entrance Exam Result

The result of the common entrance test will be declared on the official website of the university. So, visit the official website to check the result and download the document. 

Counselling or Interview

The candidates who have qualified for the exams will be called for personal interviews or counselling. 

Seat Allotment

Seat Allotment depends upon your entrance exam performance, the number of seats available, and the choice of course you want to enrol in. 

Payment of Fees 

Once you are allowed the seats, you have to pay the course fee to confirm the seat and admission. 

Document Verification 

The admission process is incomplete without necessary documents which you will have to submit via online or offline mode at the time of registration.

The admission process at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University usually starts in March and April every year. The application date has been extended to 15 May 2024 for all the programs whose selection criteria depend highly upon the national level tests like B.tech, M.tech, B.Sc (Nurs.), and many more.

The last date of application for all the programs that are based on the merit list is 25 May 2024 (tentative). The merit list will be prepared based on common entrance exam performance.

IPU UG & PG Admission 2024

Candidates wanting to pursue the UG program will either have to appear for the CUET exam conducted by NTA or qualify for the common entrance test conducted by Indraprastha University. Other than this, one must have scored at least 50% marks in 12th from CBSE or equivalent board. 

The first preference will be given to candidates qualifying for the common entrance test (IPU CET) and other national-level tests like NEET, CLAT UG, JEE, etc.  The second preference will be given based on CUET scores. The final selection will take place based on the merit list.

The merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s performance on the common entrance test (IPU CET) and acquired scores in other national-level examinations. 

IPU PG Admission 2024

Candidates wanting to pursue a PG program need to score a minimum of 50%- 55% for the General category and 45%-50% for other categories in your Undergraduate program with all the relevant subjects to be admitted to the PG program. 

For major programs like M.tech and MBA, a candidate will either have to appear for national-level tests like GATE, CAT, etc., or appear for a common entrance test (IPU CET). Further, wait till the merit list is declared. 

IPU PhD Admission

For PhD programs, candidates must hold a master’s degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University. The selection process will take place based on UGC NET/CSIR NET scores.
